DAY 1
On the first day of our trip to Paris, off course we checked in in a cute Parisian hotel. We stayed in “A la Villa Madame” in the 6e arrondissement. It was a small but very lovely hotel just around the corner of the “Jardin du Luxembourg”. Afterwards we went to the Notre-Dame. When we arrived the sun was setting and this gave it a magical touch. A visit to the Notre-Dame itself is still free of charge and definitely worth tackling the long cue. We hadn’t planned much for this day so went to Île Saint-Louis and strolled through the little streets. That evening we headed out for dinner to “Boucherie Rouliere”.

 DAY 2
We started the second day with a nice breakfast at our hotel and went straight to the Eiffel Tower because we had booked to go at 11 am. I would highly advice to book tickets in advance. We had a little time before arriving so we went to Trocadero where we had the most beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower, once more under a clear blue sky. The next stops were the Arc de Triomphe, the Avenue des Champs-Élysées and Pont Alexandre-III.

After a morning stroll through le Jardin du Luxembourg we used Uber to get to Montmartre. This spot gives you a gorgeous view of the city. Because the sun was shining brightly, we couldn’t resist to take a moment just to sit, relax and enjoy the view and the warmth. We started and ended this day in a park. This time it was at “Le Jardin du Palais Royal”. For dinner, “Chez Fernand” was recommended to us. The food was great but the place was packed with people everywhere. Definitely ask for an English menu if your French isn’t perfect (Yoeri and Liesbeth made the mistake ordering kidney without knowing).

Sadly, we hadn’t planned much for this day because we were going home. But we didn’t have to leave early so we decided to head out once more to visit the Pantheon and of course to have a little stop at “Saint Laurent” where I treated myself to a little something (you may have spotted it on Instagram). Before starting our journey back home we had lunch at “Evi Evane”, a cute little restaurant near Saint Sulpice.

I loved our time in Paris. It was just as magical as I imagined it to be, just strolling through the beautiful streets of the city, sipping a cappuccino at a Parisian café or stopping for some Macarons at “Laduree”. Also having some time off and enjoy it with people I truly love. It’s definitely a trip to remember!!
