The city of Jeanne D'Arc

As I’m writing this we’re driving trough France to our next destination. On Monday we took off to start our vacation in France and drove to the city of Orléans, the city of Jeanne d’Arc next to the Loire. After dropping of our bags and freshening up we went out to explore the old town. It’s a nice, not too big, place to wander around with lots of cute little streets and a beautiful impressive cathedral.

The weather wasn’t fantastic but definitely warm enough. I was wearing my new maxi skirt I’ve found in the sale for only €15 in a small boutique shortly before our holiday. That paired with a simple white tee and some sandals. Easy going, not to warm and very practical.

To end our first day, Yoeri and I bought some fresh tomatoes, a baguette and of course a nice bottle of rosé to have a picnic next to the Loire. We took our time to look for a nice and quiet spot and enjoyed the views over the river with the sun setting.

You can’t stay in the Loire area without visiting one of its majestical castles. So before starting our journey to the south of France we went to Chambord which is one of the biggest castles in this region. The impressive double staircase was ones designed by Leonardo Da Vinci.

…Enjoy!!
